The first hour goes to background
Prospects spend the first meeting explaining what they do, what systems they use and how big they are. The real problem shows up at minute forty.
Archetype & overview
A one-person FP&A practice for privately held companies. Its analyst, Charlie, brings twenty years of experience — and needs a booking process that screens and briefs every prospect before the first meeting.
The challenge brief
The Lovable Build Challenge asked for a booking experience that works for a real small business. Your Part-Time Analyst is that business: one experienced professional, selling subscriptions and custom projects to owners and management teams.
Harrison Foundry built the booking front door as a conversation. Instead of a form or a bare calendar link, prospects talk with Charlie first — and the person behind Charlie walks into every first call already knowing the goal, the data and the fit.
After the challenge, the same intake becomes the front end of the paid product: the conversation that scopes each client's own Charlie.
The operating challenge
Prospects spend the first meeting explaining what they do, what systems they use and how big they are. The real problem shows up at minute forty.
A bare calendar link fills the week with meetings that were never a fit — wrong size, wrong need, or no data to work with.
A solo practitioner can't hold a discovery call with every visitor. The intake has to happen without him, and sound like him.
What this does for everyone
A short, confidential conversation — typed or spoken. Charlie asks only for what is still missing, then hands you the calendar.
Every booking arrives with a one-page brief: what they want to do, what data they have, how big they are, and questions to ask.
Once scoped, the client's own Charlie opens — trained on their business, keeping reviewed decisions and context year after year.
The walkthrough
How Charlie reads a general ledger, builds the statements and explains what changed.
Recorded earlier in the build. The features have evolved since, and we have kept teaching Charlie — the demo company shows where things stand today.
How the booking works
Three or four exchanges. Charlie tracks three things — the goal, the data picture and the size — and skips anything already answered.
The calendar opens only after the conversation. There is no way to skip straight to a meeting.
The transcript and an AI-drafted brief land in an admin inbox. Nothing is stored for visitors who never book.
After the human conversation, access to the client's Charlie is opened per email — subscription or project.
